I have been in the freelance art and graphic design field since 2012 but my passion is illustration. I enjoy drawing animals of all kinds and love to play with typography and hand lettering. While Virginia is my current home, I spend a lot of time traveling both in the US and Internationally. I appreciate a good book, a nice cup of tea, and a quiet house.

The artistic shift that led to starting an illustration studio started in 2019. Hello pandemic and more free time! My youngest daughter requested a pet and, after a massive amount of negotiation, I said yes to a family rabbit. We already had a dog, several cats, a lizard, and a few fish, how much of an adventure could another pet possibly be?

Soon enough my phone was filled to the brim with quirky personality spilling over into my sketchbooks and art. We eventually added two more bunnies so we can now officially say we have a fluffle of rabbits. I also started volunteering my time with different rabbit rescues and realized just how much need there is with small animals and exotics. The question became how else could I support these organizations?

Northlight Illustrations is my way of giving back with 20% of all profits donated to local animal rescue organizations in need of monetary support. I enjoy creating fun and interesting chalk signage to attract notice and inform. I also work with individual non-profits to create projects with larger monetary impact and scope. Have an idea?
